Seating

Upon receiving many comments and concerns regarding the seating chart over Shabbos there will be a revised chart posted for Rosh Hashanah (and Yom Kipper). While we acknowledge that it will not be perfect according to everyone’s opinion please note that a vast amount of time and energy went into this. We will continue to try to make everyone as happy as possible. We also ask that even if you are unhappy with your seats as they are not to your liking or did not adhere to your previous requests please see the Rav or Chaim Cywiak but for Rosh Hashanah please try and endure and we will work on it as best as we can. If you feel the need to speak with the Rav or Chaim about the seats please try and refrain from doing so while tefilos are going so as not to disturb davening.

As stated above we want to help make everyone happy but that might not always work for everyone. We thank everyone for their consideration and understanding in this and wish everyone a Ksiva V’Chasima Tova.

Message from Rav-Please Read!

A message from the Rav :

To all Chashuva Misspalilim,

At this time of the year we look for ways to better our shul and davening. Our young children bring tremendous light and joy to our Bais Medrash. However during davening it is not a time for children to be running around and disturbing the davening. The constant running in and out and up and down makes it impossible to have kavana. If a child is too young to understand how he must behave in shul, he must be left at home. It is better for someone to stay home with their child rather than disturb other people during davening.
In the zechus of our tefilos may we all merit to only see nachas from our children and to quickly see the geulah shelaima.

Project Inspire

Good Afternoon All,

As we are all preparing for the Yomim Naraim there is one great mitvah we all can do. Reach out to a non affiliated Jew.
Project Inspire is once again having their Shabbas project which will take place Parshas Lech Lecha. The success of the Shabbas project is in our hands, but we need to get a head start.
Reach out to a friend, neighbor, co-worker etc. and develop a relationship with them. It will be that much easier then, to invite them over for a Shabbos meal in a few weeks.
Project inspire has put together beautiful small Rosh Hashana gifts that the shul is sponsoring. It’s as simple as" I just wanted to wish you and your family a happy healthy sweet new year, enjoy some of the sweets in honor of Rosh Hashana." We all could do just a bit. It’s our obligation to at least try. Don’t worry about the outcome. Lets just do our part and start the process.
There are a bunch in the basement of the shul on a serving tray. Anyone needing more than the shul has I will get for you.

Tizkah L’mitzvos.

Membership and Seats

As Rosh Hashanah is fast approaching the shul would like to welcome everybody back from their summer and welcome all new Mispalellim. As our shul has continued to grow these past few years we Baruch Hashem have almost completed the expansion of our shul as it is in the final stages of the first phase (the main floor) and we are planning on having all our tefillos back in the regular Bais Medrash this week. However the setup this week is not the final setup of how the tables and chairs will be setup once everything is complete. We ask that no one “claims” any seats as theirs based on the setup we have this week. We will be working on putting together a seating chart for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kipper and also for the entire year as we want to make sure everyone, who is a regular mispalell, has a Makom Kavuah of their own. We ask everyone to please be considerate to the people working on this as they will try to accommodate everyone and make everyone happy. We will make every effort to keep people in the seats they had in the old format but due to the reformat of the space some seats will no longer be there. If you would like to move your seat please let us know (preferably when we are in shul for seating and membership details of the time is below) and we will try to move you to the location of your request but as there may be many requests for the same area it might not be possible.

The Shul has an annual membership collection this time of year. As we have done in the past we ask for your continued support to help our Kehilah. The suggested annual membership is $360 per family ($180 single) which included seats (1 man and 1 woman) for the Yomim Noraim. If your wife/daughter/guest plans on attending on Rosh Hashanah and/or Yom Kipper please let us know as space in the shul is limited (more than past years but still limited) and we want to make sure we have enough seats by the women for all tefillos. Additional seat prices are suggested as $125 for an adult and $75 for a child.

If a member of the shul will not be with us for Rosh Hashanah and/or Yom Kipper please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan the seating chart accordingly for the Yomim Noraim. Even if you plan to only be with us for one day please let us know which day that will be.

As everyone knows the expansion of our shul was not only very costly but will also increase our annual expenses (along with the lost income from the space we expanded to). We understand that everyone has financial burdens themselves and we only ask that everyone try to help out the shul as much as they can. We have received a lot of people donations for the building fund but we also have many members who have not as of yet contributed anything while this is probably due to summer schedules the work needs to be paid for and every month we now have to cover the expense that were covered with the rental income we now do not have. There are still many items left from the dedication list along with some additional items that are available we will be working on putting out a new list of items and prices but if you are interested please speak with either the Rav or Chaim Cywiak about this. We also have the Parnos Hachodesh sponsorship program as we have in the past please see the Rav, Eli Rosengarten (“Rosy”), or Chaim Cywiak about pricing and availability.

Chaim Cywiak will be in the Shul this Motzai Shabbos beginning 1.5 hours prior to Slichos for the membership and seats arrangement (cash, check and credit cards excepted). Please note that every effort will be made to accommodate everyone with the seats they have/would like. However, we apologize in advance if we are unable to do so please know we are doing our best to make as many people happy as possible.

Wishing you and your family a Chasiva Ve’Chasima Tova and a Gut Gebenched Year.
